    Text autoscroll: one of the most annoying things on the interface

    I'm the only one bothered by this for so long?

    I don't know why this is even a functionality in the chat box to begin with. It always auto scrolls to the most recent message... Usually I wouldn't think this to be weird, since it works like that in every other mmorpg out there.

    Except when you're actually trying to scroll up to read some old messages... It keeps autoscrolling you down when you don't want.     Especially bad in busy places.

    This is me hoping for this small QoL in ShB. Let us disable it as an option somewhere: "Disable when you're reading back old entries".

    Yeah...I try to read old messages and the second a new message comes up the chat log gets forced down to the newest message. Definitely a QoL option I'd like to see some day, very simple and useful request.

    Wait, how far that is? I've been playing ever since the end of HW and never could see it working like that. Must be really old messages then... Still, problem persists for not so old ones.

    Not exactly helpful when or if you spend a lot of time around hubs like Limsa or Balmung/Mateus' Quicksands.

    There are people right now who frequent those and have default chat settings. So Shout/Yell/Crafting/Of the 31 parties recruiting are turning their screens into twitch chat because either they don't know how to filter or they can't be bothered.

    I couldn't tell you but scroll up enough and it works.
