Linkshell Bug -- Messages appearing without indicating which pearl they are from...

I sometimes see messages appearing in my chat box that have no indication of where they are form (pearl, say, shout, nothing) and all in the white colour that does not match the default say colour.

This is appearing in my inn room and in the city of Ul'dah. I have not tried anywhere else.

I do not have any more information on this, but can supply additional if I get more.

Note: I am on 6 pearls so it may be related to quantity?

It has the default emote colour.

I have 3 pearls and it still affects me.

Annoying as hell that people in my LS are having to type their name before what they say >_>

Also I can't send/receive /tell. I dunno if it's just certain people but out of everyone I've tried so far it doesn't work.

I had this problem a long time ago, was also right after a patch (I think the one that released the first NMs). I also experienced it today, but only on one occasion with only one person. However, a couple of my LS mates are having this issue.

It seems the cause of the bug is failure to log in successfully on the first attempt. I timed out constantly for like 30 min this morning before I was able to finally log in and I was the only person in my ls that others were having the problem with. Once I restarted client it fixed it.

So it's not a bug on your end, but rather those people that you see as emotes. Just ask them to relog.
