Dunno. For me, as for somebody who likes RP, bubbles look weird. I mean... we do not have bubbles near to our mouths IRL when we speak. I suppose it's the matter of perspective?

It would have to be optional. Personally, player text bubble chatter annoys me to no end so if it couldn't be turned off from day one--absolutely not.
A thread about this does pop on the forums occasionally and the forum community seems pretty divided on it. Its probably not a priority for the team to even consider since there isn't an overwhelming demand for it.

I don't really get the division on it. The side that's against it, a large portion of them seem to think it would be mandatory and no option to turn it off. Not sure where they're getting this idea from that it wouldn't be optional. And they appear to be basing their resistance to it on this alone. It would have to be optional. Just baffling...

We suggested this once upon a time in the beta forums I recall, the reply was along the lines of UI memory limitations due to PS3, albeit they used to use that for many requests as an answer.
From Misteq or however you say her names recent interview, seems they are continuing the whole "We are limited" asnwers, along with "we have only so many people".
Honestly these days I wouldn't mind a slower patch cycle for better content/QoL which is different to previous expansions structure.

For those of us not into rp this would be horrible. It's bad enough with /sh spam and some ppls awful 5 chapter macro messages. The last thing we need to do is offer and incentive to use /s more often. Anyone who is talking in /s or emote spams gets automatically blisted. If you like using them, great, but my log isn't going to be filled with your random conversation because you feel the need to use /s instead of /t for whatever reason and if I have to blist you to prevent it, so be it. And I am not the only one who feels this way. I know plenty of ppl whose blist is full of open talkers and emote spammers.
If they ever would implement this, they either need to uncap our blist limit or restrict it to rp servers.

Drowns in the sea of chat bubbles whenever I have to go to the quicksand.
