So you got the a notice, but you noticed it too late and lost your property? That the basic gist? Sort of confused if you missed the emails, what is to say you would not miss an in-game notification. I do not know, I mean to a degree I could understand your position if you happened to not get the email regarding the demo timer, I have heard people in past did not get the warning emails until it was too late. Though you confirmed you did get an email, but either did not notice it or did not act on it. If you do not mind me asking what exactly is the problem you are having? Do you wish for SE to place more safe guards regarding plots so players can better map out when they need to enter their house to prevent demolition?
Do not get me wrong the housing system in this game has many issues, but the timer itself seems to be serving it's general purpose and to a degree I would argue that the timer should be shorter regarding demolition when it comes to not actively using them home which by SE bare min standard is entering the house once everyone 45 days.

"Sort of confused if you missed the emails, what is to say you would not miss an in-game notification." the notification pop up needs to be confirmed thus you would not miss it when logging on.So you got the a notice, but you noticed it too late and lost your property? To repeat here:
3 ways to fix this is:
Allow being on the outside on your property to count for all who log on and pay subs. Which i did often to que for PVP matches.
Provide a Pop up warning when you log into game showing clearly that you are going to loose your land if not enter house click here to confirm notice. This is do to FFXIV housing rules just starting again. thx!
Convert to instance housing for all that can never be demolished by a timer. "never be demolished" as promised.

At the core I see no difference in confirming the notification at login, and checking ones email associated with the game every so often. Anymore warnings and concessions made regarding the demolition timer would go against the intent and purpose of the timer."Sort of confused if you missed the emails, what is to say you would not miss an in-game notification." the notification pop up needs to be confirmed thus you would not miss it when logging on.

Granted instances housing would be nice, and an ideal fix to the overall housing issues. Though your suggestions regarding the timer go against the main purpose of the demolition timer in the first place, and are simply a band aid fix to your own personal carelessness. In the end I do support instance housing, and maybe one day we will get it.

This does not go against any intent for adding that kind of notice. KINDNESS is how we should think of that kind of notice not carelessness. At the core I see no difference in confirming the notification at login, and checking ones email associated with the game every so often. It is carelessness though, you did confirm you received a notification just did not act on it. How can that not be considered careless on your part? To my knowledge the email even stats you have to enter the house. So you cannot even say the email is vague in that sense. Making it easier to avoid the demolition timer sort of defeats the intent behind the timer. I mean the requirements to keep a plot are already extremely lax, any more concessions one has to ask what is the point of even having the timer in the first place."At the core I see no difference in confirming the notification at login, and checking ones email associated with the game every so often. Also what I mean by at the core I do not see the difference is because both serve to act as a warning for the player in question. Only difference is one puts the burden on the player to check their email associated with their account, and the another makes it requirement to confirm upon login. I mean SE already has a system in place, just so happens that yes if you do not enter the house and rarely check your email it can be missed, but why is that a problem SE should fix? Housing has many issues that SE needs to address the demo timer most certainly is not one in my opinion.

It is carelessness though, you did confirm you received a notification just did not act on it. How can that not be considered careless on your part? Careless would be opening the notice before hand and not doing anything. This was not the case. The notice was not opened till after a little over a week from when the first notice was sent to promo mail outside game. This is why the in game notice is also needed thus the post.It is carelessness though, you did confirm you received a notification just did not act on it.
