Housing demolition timer need to be changed! Sitting on your property needs to count.

I could care less about housing but it kinda makes me laugh how many people sit here and attack OP for what happened but if the shoe was on the other foot and it happened to you.
you'd be right in the forums angry yourselves don't pretend you wouldn't be.

I know how the timer window works. I know that housing demolition is a thing in this game (though I dont think it should be). I know that all I have to do is go inside my house every month and a half (and if you arent growing something in flowerpots inside which facilitates going inside, you should be) and it wont go away.

Its entirely on me if I lose my house because I just dont care enough to zone inside 8 or 9 times a year.

Instanced housing is absolutely needed in this game. For those of us who love housing and decorating and want a million of them, for people like this who want it for status but never use it, for people who desperately want one but don't have time to wait for destruction timers... Non instanced serves very few people, and the only people it serves are those who want to lord their status over others, so even though in this instance I think OP is at fault, SE still needs to change their system, or at least add a separate housing system that is instanced.

It's kinda a tradeoff is the only thing. You don't have to worry about the demo timer with apartments, and you get to decorate the inside, BUT you don't get a yard, you don't get cross-breed gardening, you only get access to one size (one FLOOR even), and you can't have tenants.

We have bits and pieces of good solutions in place right now, but housing system as a whole could definitely use a few changes/improvements.

Currently no... want to do crossbreeding, need a house. Want a place for the FC as a whole, need a house (that said, if they added a way to cross-breed in apartments, I would support houses going FC only). Even then, apartments are limited to 90 per complex (2 per ward, so 12960‬ per housing area, 51840 total per realm, which sounds like a lot but I aren't sure if it would be enough to be seen as unlimited)

Apartments cant:
Be FC housing(and all that entails, rooms for members, airship, etc.)
Access the gardening function.

Not to mention they are insultingly small.
