Defiance was merged into 20% dr as was all tank stances. ToB just absorbed convalescence.
Honestly, just for flavors sake i wish they had baked in the 20%dr to drk/pld and 25% hp and 25% healing to warrior as they are functionally identical. Even more so since they have retooled healing ogcd actions to scale with %healing buffs truly making a 25% hp/heal identical to 20% dr.
Its a missed opportunity for a rare case where there is no conflict between job flavor/identity and balance. Its a simple feature to include that adds to the class fantasy with zero balance repurcussions. Shame really.

No only that, Defiance no longer gives bonus Parry based on gauge level. Deliverance no longer exists, so the bonus Crit based on gauge level is also gone.
Did they really state that those bonuses are gone in ShB? Considered we still got the beast gauge, we don't really know how it works yet.

This is nice. In my static ill be MT as paladin, and my OT is a War!
All is as it should be again. What a wonderful world!
Except Thrill, free Equilibrium and especially Holmgang, still put WAR leagues above PLD in terms of MTing, while PLD still has way better OT options. You do you though.
Have we actually seen the new Beast Gauge guide thing though? If crit bonus is just baked into gauge regardless of stance now, then it'd be natural to remove mention of it from Defiance tooltip, especially since gauge is no longer linked to stance i any way.
Not saying it's still there, but I'd really like to see a ui confirmation, before I jump the gun on that and it seems none of the media-tour guests actually screenshotted it.
