NUUUUU!!!! My Macro!

I had a macro for DRG back in ARR (and I think some of HW) which let me power up my jump and use it. It saved time but sometimes it would backfire and use the wrong jump. I had 2 in that macro to save hotbar space. I haven't so much as touched a macro since switching to SAM and leveling other jobs, including DRG, which doesn't have that macro anymore. I think they are, for the most part, pointless, though announcing certain abilities can be pretty handy.They can also make for really irritating chat spams like a person I ran into earlier...I was just happy to get out of the instance and away from them. If people are going to RP while in a party, I really wish they would keep it confined to /echo...that way they can have whatever fun they're having and I don't have to listen to it. lol

Unfortunately we will still be plagued by res macros, which are more useless than roleplay macros.

I dont know, telling people who youre resing saves mp. Less chance of accidentally trying to raise the same person.

Except when everyone pushes the button at the same time. Which is usually what happens anyway.

Not in my experience? Ive only done it once or twice, I appreciate if the other healer has a macro that says what they did so I can focus on other dead or dpsing.

Really? Cause uh, usually by the time the other healer shouts out their passive aggressive garbage, I've already got the dead person swiftcast resed. Usually I find a res macro=mediocre healer who doesn't really watch the party list like they should.

Man, I remember when I had a Raise macro back in ARR for about a week before I got rid of it for often burning my Swiftcast without the Raise...

The biggest casualties are probably going to be my Scholar macros. I attached Embrace to... um... nearly everything, combined Rouse and Whispering Dawn into one button (I'm actually happy this one is going away, there was never any reason to use Rouse without also popping WD) aaand... I think I had a Largesse + Fey Illumination macro at one point but I never used it. Using both at the same time is kinda wasteful, I can't think of any situation where that much healing would be needed all at one time.

For my DPS, I have cooldown notifications for Mana Shift and Refresh that will be going away. I'm kinda going to miss it, I liked helping my party recover from deaths or just keeping them topped off. It's always so satisfying when half the party is dead, healers are running on fumes, but then suddenly Refresh comes off cooldown and we're back in business.
I'm curious to see what the end of phase 1 of Ultima, the High Seraph is going to look like in Shadowbringers. Entire Alliances still semi-wipe during the mechanics-vomit bit and I'm pretty sure at least like 1 in 3 pulls is saved by RDMs and Bards/Machinists working overtime XD

Perhaps it's just how you worded it, but Rouse hasn't effected WD for several patches now so technically that combo has already gone away. Embrace is still effected by Rouse though, for the time being...

Oh? When did that happen? I can't believe I missed that ._.

Oh well, it won't be relevant in a few weeks. I'm going to miss most of the Scholar skills that are getting cut as well as manual Embrace control, but Rouse won't be one of them. Having 3 Largesses (one for me, one for Eos, one for the party) was just an itsy bit of an overkill. Nobody needs an esse that large.
