I recently started playing and picked faerie because I read everyone was very welcoming and nice there. I'm too new to really say if that's true and haven't made any friends yet but so far I haven't had any bad experiences!
Also I just really love faeries, but the badass irish ones.

I started on Faerie because of the friend who got me into the game. Haven't gotten to play with him much though, seems like we always play during weeks/months the other is on break.

There's a game, Folklore, which came to mind in the talk of Faeries not being good little tinkerbells and such. Puts itself a lot in that sphere.

Faerie has been such a delight and such a change from what i have been use to on other MMORPG servers. i started here because of a friend who got myself and my wife into playing FFXIV. Faerie players keep being awesome! =)

My own choice of Faerie came during a free trial during Heavensward. I wasn't sure which one to pick, but Faerie and Goblin were names that caught my eye. Part of what shifted me to Faerie was that I figured truly repressed and trollish people might be too immature to be caught dead on a server with that name. I met a couple of rude people in the DF but then someone explained that the DF is data-center wide. Not that there can't be rude jerks native to Faerie, but generally the people there seem really friendly and helpful (which I've heard is pretty common all over the community).

Friday late afternoon/early evening edit: wow the opening screen and that soft background music for the opening quest in Mor Dona

Saturday morning edit: impressed with low or non-existent queues for Faeirie

I just came back from 6-7 month break, and decided I wanted to change things up for the expansion. Transferred from Cactuar to Faerie. And like others in this thread, I kept reading about how fun/friendly Faerie is, so here I am! A bit overwhelmed with all the changes, but I'm happy to be back.

I came to Faerie about 3 years ago (server transfer from Primal>Exodus) to play with IRL friends that I had no idea played. In the 3 years since my transfer I have pulled all my in game friends to Faerie too (LOL)
Best World IMO. Best people and wouldn't you know it, now we are the place to be!!

I'm curious - where do people here about how friendly or unfriendly a server is? Streamers? Reddit? RL friends?

Not saying it isn't true, but I don't know that I've ever heard much about a specific server. Sometimes about a data center.

I think most people its a combination of all, plus talking to others in game. I know when I first started playing, I heard plenty about other servers reputations from my FC mates. It's even easier to hear about other servers with world visit, but I think that eventually individual servers won't have certain reputations, but data centers as a whole.
