It's really sad to see the market with HQ items going for less than NQ items. I know some people putting it up there don't know any better but they should be the anomaly, not the norm.

And don't say it's because of the WoW refugees cause this has been happening since forever. Since way before the WoW refugee thing started and most of you know better but just don't care. And it's really sad to see the community not care about the market.

Ive bought almost a full stock of something before but I have that eureka money. I will admit it is pretty annoying when and HQ item is selling less than selling the regular item to an npc. Youre just losing money at that point, why do it.

A quick buck isn't the best way to get rich. All you do is slow the rate at which everyone gets rich wich lowers your rate of getting rich even more.

Going to be real with you here. I don't care about gil because it's at a point where it's almost worthless to me, and I don't even have that much.

When I'm selling items, it's simply because they are worth selling for gil instead of giving them to a vendor, and I want them gone as fast as possible. I always gain a profit because the items cost me nothing. However, I'm also petty, so when I put up an item for 5,000,000 gil, and someone drops their items price to 4,999,999 gil - I'm more then happy to drop mine to half price to kindly tell them to get lost.

Not everyone is aiming to get rich. There's players who just want to make a bit of gil, and aren't interested in waiting too long for it.
Then there's the players who craft a lot. Since marketboard listings are limited to 20 per retainer, they'll sometimes prefer for items to be sold at a faster rate. Lowering the price is one way to speed things up.

As far as I'm concerned I will tank the price of any item to beyond worthless as long as mine sells first. If people don't like that then they can buy me out before the item tanks.
