The reasons we DPS heal

So as Red Mage I cure and raise the party cause that's my role as DPS is to heal and raise. However I'm bothered by SE's insistence to not add more healing moves to my kit. In all honesty with the lack of healing moves I have I've never actually enjoyed Red Mage. My downtime consists of using DPS moves over and over but I can't heal so often cause I'm too busy DPSing and I think that's a problem.

Give us an AoE heal please, SE. I don't play Red Mage to just DPS, I want to heal too.

Omg, I'm so tired of Red Healers.

Is it too much to ask to stop saving the party? I don't care if the actual healer is OOM and you think its great to share your mp.

If I have to meet one more selfish red healer who thinks now's a great time to not let the raid wipe, I'm reporting them for playstyle differences and kick for obstruction of actual healer gameplay.
