Shadowbringers Collector’s edition Update?

Hey Everyone,

I would like to know what’s going on with the PS4 Physical Collector’s edition pre-orders... I’ve been on this “Waiting List” for about 1 1/2 month, every day i check my email and nothing. I’ve seen of a couple of people that got their email to pre-order a week after they were placed on the “waiting list”. Can someone please tell me or know what’s going on? I got Collector’s edition for Heavensward & Stormblood, and i don’t want to miss out on this one either.

I actually can't recall Stormblood's CE ever actually selling out, which is strange. Shadowbringers has got to be their fastest selling expansion yet considering they were out of stock just days after they went live on the site. At least one of the physical CEs went back up for a short time but sold out again. So...it's hard to say whether they'll get more in stock. If they do I'm guessing it would be a month or 2 after the expansion launches.

At this point if there's no additional stock, it's just going to be redistributing what they do have when they start to put charges through and payment issues/cancellations start feeding the waiting list. Once that's sorted out they might come right out and give more information on either being sold out permanently or more will be in stock at a later time. I would hope sometime before pre-orders are up to give people that have been holding out a chance to snag the pre-order goodies and deal with any issues that may crop up before pre-orders are disabled.

They probably overshot the numbers last time and didn't want to run into an issue of having so much leftover physical versions and/or there were issues with parts of the collector's edition that didn't make it viable to get more put together in time. Unless SE says something though, it's just guessing on the customer side of things.

So at this point im better off not getting the physical collector’s edition? I just dont want to spend the money twice, if i get the digital collector’s edition and then they come out with physical collector’s edition.... idk what to do.
Should i wait until a week before early access?

It's up to you, really. If you want the physical goodies you may be waiting awhile, but the digital CE will always be available.

What makes me think is that if they really look at sales of Stormblood CE, and tried to compare it, they under shot it WAY too much, since it sold out within days. Im really bummed out about this...
