The 'unwritten rule' for non-tank pulls in dungeons

There's an unwritten rule in the MMO genre in general about pulling for Tanks.

1 - It's disrespectful. To the group and to the tank.

I'm not prepared to respect a tank that's going to take much too long and hold up multiple other people.
We've all been in here hundreds of times, lets get a move on.
