I mean even being new to a dungeon I will still pull wall to wall. Nothing really changes with the core concepts of dungeons that isnt manageable by a decent tank and healer. I will only pull slowly if healer and dps are just outright bad.

Sorry if I wasnt specific.. My healer is my IRL partner who is bipolar, has anexity, depression and PTSD. So yeah im going make sure he's the one that's comfortable and the dps will tank what they pull till I'm ready for the next group.Healers don't get stressed when you pull large in level +50 content unless:
- They are bad at healing
- You are bad at tanking
- Either of you are new to the dungeon
Pull wall-to-wall is the general rule in dungeons that are high level because everyone has AOEs.
On the other hand, when a DPS takes the aggro of something and gets ripped to shreds, not pulling it off the DPS causes me to have to heal multiple sources when I could be DPSing.
Honestly, if a tank ended up not pulling mobs off of a DPS in late game dungeons, even if the DPS pulled it, I would probably give them a little nudge to take them before vote kicking them.
Do the job of your class, or get shown the door. If the DPS are pulling more mobs, it's because you are pulling very little, and making the dungeon take twice as long so you can watch netflix while tanking.
I go into dungeon pugs as pld only for a reason. If I deem the healer, dps or both too weak for mass pulls, I only pull two groups at a time and can keep myself up with clemency. If dps pulls more however, I let him die, unless they aggro healer. If healer pulls more, Ill take it off after letting healer take a beating for a bit to watch him heal himself back to full a few times, so he learns his lesson.
Overall though, its player impatience or overconfidence which is the reason why if I feel like tanking random dungeons, I go as pally.
Lol and no, never been kicked for it yet. Most know full well by kicking me I can just reque, probably get same group, or get one with hopefully brighter players within a minute or less. That if they do anyway they can be waiting up to 10 mins for a new tank, in that amount of time, could have finished or near finished the dungeon. Most are at least smart enough to know that. So far anyway.

See this is more of a grey area that I really have no experience covering, I was talking about in general with Duty Finder groups.
If that's the way your IRL partner is comfortable playing, all the power to them. Either way stress is going to be caused.
The problem here is that your healer is going to heal the DPS, and do their end of the job & ultimately pull aggro either way. Even if they don't, they now have to heal a squishier source as well as you.I go into dungeon pugs as pld only for a reason. That only makes things worse lol. Then hes gotta heal them. If he doesnt then ppl start wiping. It's better to heal 1 person then many. Healing a tank is by no means hard like I said before. When I heal I rarely used a GCD heal when things are pulled wall to wall. It's when things go slower ita gets suspect because I'm running out of resources.
As a healer main Im going to have to ask you how you are using up all your resources with regular size pulls? What?
I dps like crazy and still dont come close to that.
You really shouldn't be running out of resources with slow pulls. That only makes things worse lol. Then hes gotta heal them. If he doesnt then ppl start wiping. Small pulls = longer fights and I'm Always casting something. Very little breaks in between pulls. So MP doesnt get full by next pack. Where as longer pulls aoe things down alot faster. yes I burn almost all my resources but i have time to regen before next major fight.
Like I said. If dps pulls and aggro goes to healer, ill take the mobs immediately off, and usually use cover on the healer.See this is more of a grey area that I really have no experience covering, I was talking about in general with Duty Finder groups.

Tank dictates the pulls, it has been this way since the dawn of mmos concerning on the move content. Camp content, ala EQ and FFXi, it depends on what classes you had with you.
Holy eats up alot of MP too lol.
