i've literally never seen or heard of that being actually enforced in response to a kick. so as far as we can see, ToS does not deny differences in playstyle.http://support.na.square-enix.com/fa...6&id=5382&la=1
And according to Yoshida himself, healers should not be asked to DPS, because encounters are designed with healers not dpsing in mind. Kicking healer because he does not do dps will guarantee you a ban or warning.
Welcome to the game with new ToS, the thing you have shown us is old rules, ToS is above it.
Not necessarily. I've grouped with people who annoyed me to no end. I still did not kick them. Someone annoying me isn't enough to warrant me kicking them. Especially when I know I will almost certainly never see them again (definitely won't if I blacklist them).
The few times I have initiated a vote kick for reasons other than the person disconnecting were because the player was legitimately trying to disrupt the run. If I see a VK initiated on someone that is simply not getting along with someone in the group, I'll vote "No" the majority of the time. I guess I'm more patient than most people.
That said...
I can understand not wanting to play with someone. I cannot, however, understand wanting to kick them from a DF run. You're not gonna be around them for very long. So I can understand getting annoyed, possibly upset, about getting kicked. I was kicked from a group one night because I wasn't pulling as fast as the DPS wanted me to. If I had pulled any faster, we would have wiped. The healer was struggling enough already. I pointed that out, politely, and the Healer said "Thank you" and then a moment later I was sitting in Limsa... I have no idea why I was kicked, and the fact that I was irritated me.
For some it's closer to 30-50 minutes. Depends on the roulette and the time of day.
If it's a low level dungeon where I have more HP than the tank as the DPS and the tank doesn't repsond to text and pulls the wrong way and as slow as a snail I'm going to start doing pulls. Sorry bout it.
Maybe cool it with the scaremongering, players can kick others for whatever reason they deem fit whether it's difference of playstyle or something else, so there is no "guaranteed" ban or warning for doing this unless you are specifically harassing (or compelling) someone to do something. Other than that GMs haven't got time to go chasing around every single report asking person X and Y why they kicked person Z from the party, someone got kicked move on, ToS doesn't change it.
I've litterally also ran into tanks that played the game like it was dark souls or something. Probably the worst tank I've encountered in game.
This is the "not being a team player" that I mentioned previously. When I'm running as a healer, I don't heal people that do this, I stay with the tank.
Most of the time the mobs are dead before healing is needed anyways in lower level dungeons. Also you're being a hypocrite by calling someone "not a team player" then refusing to heal them. But go off I guess.![]()
It is a video game, I assume most play the game because it is fun, what is fun about dealing with someone if they annoy? I know for a fact I annoy people, and I have very few in-game and irl friends being on the spectrum I do not do well in social situations, but by no means would I ever want to force someone to put up with me because I am on the spectrum since they may feel it is the kind thing to do. If someone finds me annoy I rather be removed, then have the person or group sit back and be annoyed behind the screen the entire time. To see that seems like an utter waste of time for all parties. Not necessarily. I've grouped with people who annoyed me to no end. I still did not kick them. Guess the way I see it is since I properly will never seem them again no point trying to deal with them if I do not want to. Sure sometimes I will, but other times I may not be in the mood. It is nothing personal, and I think that is where the disconnect comes from, I remove someone or get removed I do not take it personally. Sure for me if I remove the person it might be personal but if I do not say anything to the person they would honestly not know. Also if I am one the being removed I have no way to know for sure unless they told me that it was personal, so I see no reason to harp on it. Sure I can make assumptions as to why I was removed, but without the person telling me I have no way to know for certain. So for me it becomes a silly to even dwell on it, unless it happens often then I will dwell on it and try to figure it out.I can understand not wanting to play with someone. Also really 30-50 min queues? Even as a dps I have never had the misfortune to get such queue times outside of pvp. Since I have never ran into 30-50 min queues I cannot speak on how I would view this topic from that point of view.
Non AoE'ing dps, and non dps healers annoy a friend of mine greatly and we often queue together when he sees someone not using aoe during large pulls or putting out dps as a healer in expert roulette this man drops starts the vote quicker then a group hitting the surrender button in league with someone running it down mid. That being said without the group saying anything it honestly becomes hearsay and I am not sure a GM will honestly want to go through the trouble of trying to see who is telling the truth. At most someone will get is a warning, but the report from the start would be odd. "I was removed from this group I have no reason as to why I was removed the group did not say anything about it."http://support.na.square-enix.com/fa...6&id=5382&la=1

Most likely they will send a canned response to the person, but here is the kicker you will have way of knowing if the person was removed or not, but my guess because the GM spoke to the person that filed the report mentions things like we take this stuff serious, and will look into it most people feel as if the GM will do something about it. Reality is they properly.

That is, in no way, being hypocritical. Staying with the tank is what the team does. If you're not going to be part of the team, it's not hypocritical to not heal you when you're not part of the team.
I'm not prepared to respect a tank that's going to take much too long and hold up multiple other people.
We've all been in here hundreds of times, lets get a move on.
