I personally don't like when tanks pull small whether i'm dps or healing. It just takes longer overall and i feel like its more work.

Big pulls feel easier because everyone can let loose their resources without holding back.

I can understand small pulls in certain dungeons like leveling dungeons.

Like the leveling dungeons between 61-70 can hit pretty hard. I sometimes pull small on those, you just kind of have to know your limit as a tank, same with being a healer.

When I'm tanking, I'm generally not bothered. If someone else pulls something I'll grab it as soon as I'm able, and whatever damage they sustained in the meantime was their calculated risk, they're not likely to die from it.
If however, it's apparent that they're not being very smart about it, or plain trolling, because the healer can't keep up with the damage or something, then after a few miss-pulls I'll just let them tank it and see if they learn.

I'm the kind of tank that loves to pull big when I know I can rely on my healer but on my first run of a dungeon I like to gaige the pulls slowly so I can get a foreshadow of the dungeon for future runs, I absolutely hate it when DPS pull if they pull I leave them to die if my speed is not good enough for them they are more than welcome to find another run and reque generally if they pull I tell my husband not to heal them and let them learn their lesson.

One of the things I am thankful for is going to be these npc runs we can do for our first runs in ShB that will help me learn the mechanics so I can pull people through faster and I'm excitingly looking forward to it, I will still do Roulette runs as a tank but I'll always look to fill my group with friends and fc members before random runs as they seem to carry the most toxic people sometimes.

Often I will pull a small mob first to test the dps. If the dps cannot burn fast enough, there is no purpose to do large pulls.

the queue times for tanks are incredibly fast. if i'm new to tanking an area or new with the class and the dps wants to be a jerk about the fact i'm going slow, i will let them die and get quickly into another group where the dps is happy to work with me and let me pull at my own pace. if they want to tank so bad because they know how to do it better, then they can roll tank and make it so i can play my dps with faster queues. otherwise, folks should learn some patience with the tanks they do get.

Or you can actually be vocal and say that YOU ARE NEW AT TANKING and still learning so please be patient, or get kicked for not doing your job.

If we're talking about low lvl dungeons, then sure, you can clear them without a tank in most cases.
You can be new, but if you take your sweet time to pull 3 mobs at the time while dps and a healer are ready and can handle more, then you're simply holding the entire group back and at least should try and be more brave. Just because you're playing a tank doesn't mean that you're the most important person in the group, since everyone is important and equal. The best way to learn is put yourself under pressure and stop being lazy or being afraid of your shadow as a tank. Also no one is asking you to pull literally everything till boss door.
If it's lvl 70 - then sorry, but you're not new anymore at that point and should know your skills and limits.

They said new to that dungeon. I also tend to go slower when its an entirely new dungeon until i learn positioning and what mobs are going to show up at one point.

After I'm comfortable and know the mob placement and where the wall ends it wall to wall pulls each run after i swear dps only players act as if tanking is just grab the things and stand in 1 spot lol.
