I liked the HW stuff more than SB, but SB was just fine, too. Shadowbringers...we'll see...

I didn't care for HW, I felt ARR and SB were much better. Iceheart was am amazing character though but I still don't get the love for Haurchefant or Aymeric, they were both kinda boring imo. The only thing I think it did better than SB was not split the story, that was a majorly bad decision. Void Arc was and still is annoying and I didn't care for Alex either cause being a more high fantasy type, I would much rather kill demons and dragons than toasters with attitude.

I think the thing that really killed it for me is as a legacy player I was biting at the bit to get into Ishgard finally and it was a huge let down once I did.

To be honest I never understood the fascination for Haurchefant... I mean, what he does for us is great and all but I never felt that he was this great of a character. Just had some funny lines... along with creepy ones lmao

I can’t speak for anyone else but while Heavensward has it’s weaknesses (as every expansion does) overall I think I maybe enjoyed it more than Stormblood. Though I will say that towards the end/later patches I got so sick and tired of ‘omg dragunz’ lol
That said, I’m sure there are many others who do feel like Heavensward wasn’t enjoyable for one reason or another, so even if it doesn’t feel like it I’m sure you’re

Except it was established that the Empire had mostly retreated to their side of Ghimlyt after Elidibus left the battlefield, and we can't exactly contribute when we can't deal with Elidibus and when trying to participate results in G'raha knocking us out because, win or lose, the Source is left in tatters because of the scales being tipped.

i like heavensward more the music had multiple main leit motifs instead of the one stormblood that got so tiring the story felt way better since it actually had losses instead of the boring stormblodd story where it was just "the warrior of light wins against this part of the empire" and "surprise this character is not actually dead" atleast haurchefant and papalymo stayed dead i also find the raids way more interesting as they werent just pure fan service and they actually explained some of the world its also why im not excited for yorha dark apocalypse as id rather see more new stuff

Heavensward had bigger story beats than Stormblood after the launch patch. 4.1 was the last time we had anything significant happen besides expansion build up. Two patches of dealing with Yotsuyu was awful. Two patches of people going comatose and us being like ??? about it was also awful. Heavensward had 3.4 and the Warriors of Darkness arc which is probably the most exciting thing we've had since the build up to HW in 2.5.

THe WOD was a burst imho they were built up and never lived the hype. I think alot of people forget HW had ALOT of duds in there. It's easy to look back and go " I liked that" When you purposely forgotten all the blargh you had to go thur when it was new.
