Because there was a HUGE disparity in DPS between SCH and the other two classes.

And since they are bringing healing more into focus with 5.0 and focusing less on DPS, it made more sense for them to bring the outlier (SCH) in line with the majority than to buff WHM and AST when they are trying to de-emphasize DPS.

I don't think people are upset because they wanted to be green DPS for queue times, I believe people are upset because they are simplifying the classes on extreme level.

This is exactly why I stopped playing WHM.

With SCH you have a rotation, DoTs to keep up, etc.
With AST you have buffs to pass around.
With WHM you spam stone, or holy. It's boring.

AST is pretty much the same and has been since the beginning, the only job who's dps is getting gutted is SCH.

Well I like healing but I'm good at it to have a ton of downtime. I don't want to play dps. I like healing have since I've started. Lol

Well, then you should enjoy the changes to the battle system and healers then. Healing will be more necessary in 5.0 and should be significantly less downtime between heals.

I agree, but I want ex dmg in dungeons ya know? Otherwise still throw excog take nap.

I don't really see a problem here. You have more options to help your team with dpsing not less.
