    DRK is patch work JOB at best !

    Dark Knight in ShB looks initially cool... Until you start looking at it really looking
    Not the math tho who cares about the math if it is "actually balanced".

    What I'm trying to get across is that DRK plays like a budget WAR now. and all its new shit is a rip off of other JOBs.

    The biggest example of this is most likely, the ability that most of people are kinda excited for. Living Shadow... do none of you see that its just a copy of MCH's "Automation Queen".
    It is the exact same shit, only thing that makes DRK original is Living Dead, and we all know how shit that is.

    Edit: also what is up with the new gauge..

    Players: "Dev's Darkside is kinda dumb cause you turn it on at the start of a dungeon and then thats it= boring".
    Devs: "Ok so we will gut your JOB and make it so now you have to maintain Darkside...."
    Players: "Oh really do we maintain it through an interesting combo"?
    Devs: " no you just spam 2 abilities that are not tied to a combo, to extend it"
    Players: " so now I just press darkside every few seconds instead of once?"
    Devs: "yep XD"

    Seems like the curse continues. 2.0 WAR sucked at launch. 3.0 DRG rotation too brutal at launch. 4.0 MNK got fisted. 5.0... to be continued.

    Also not looking forward to the fact that Soul Eater is the only combo rotation. Maybe the Shadow spam might supplement it but still seems meh to me.

    I don't know if I would put 2.0 WAR in the same category though; it sucked in a more unique way. That is, the failings of 2.0 WAR were more about SE not understanding what tanks needed in order to function properly.

    That said, I didn't feel the need to switch from WAR to PLD until Twintania.

    Yep, Twintania was literally the only fight back in 2.0 where WAR was pretty much unable to tank (and that's what forced the devs to revamp its defensive kit in 2.1). The other fights didn't have any one-shotting tank busters so lifesteals were enough. However healers didn't like us at all lmao.

    Yeah... Looking over the changes and what not and DRK really looks strange.

    Darkside could have literally been something more similar to Huton for NIN, where you have your secondary combo to refresh it (Armour Crush). Which would have made it somewhat more interesting, as you'd now think about using 2 rotations.

    Delirium/Living Shadow could have been something more unique. Instead of being budget Inner Release, it could have been having your shadow copy your weapon skills. With the Delirium being able to extend the duration of the Shadow and maybe even some way to get CDR for Delirium to promote playing well and being rewarded (Possibly CDR based on MP spent).

    Blood Weapon should have just become a Trait, with all of its effects intact (SkS, MP on hit, BB on hit).

    Dark Passenger and Carve and Spit costing MP and being high damage oGCD skills with a notable reuse timer.

    This would give Dark Knight an actual unique kit and gameplay. Where it's focused around resource management (Not just PLD's "Well, once per combo I get a bit of MP" but every strike giving MP and having a bunch of oGCD's to spend it on) - Generating and spending MP for oGCD's. Maintaining Darkside through the combo to extend it. With a burst phase that's not a copy/paste of another Tank in the form of IR Lite, but an actual shadow that deals damage based on your own skill usage and has a duration that can be extended.

    Instead... We get yet another iteration of DRK being a worse version of another job... From PLD Lite to RSI Lite to WAR Lite... The job deserves better than this...
