Hiya.

I do not like the current restricted nature of the auto-cancel while casting because I find it triggers FAR too easily. Especially when my character has stopped moving but is not at a TOTAL full stop. It usually takes a second to be sure he is done moving and will not botch the cast. The problem is that spellcasting becomes a shackle, and greatly reduces mobility. I never want to move because I know that it will disable casting for several seconds. This makes it difficult to dodge enemy TP attacks, like a Dodo Rancid Breath, for example.

My suggestion is two-fold:

i) Cause a character to slow to a walk or stop when casting is begun. Instead of telling me that I cannot cast because I am wiggling a little bit, just make me stand still and concentrate, or better yet, QUEUE the spell for the half second later when I am still! Spells used to be able to queue and it really helped defeat interface lag!

ii) When a spell is being charged, reduce movement to a slow walk. Allow us casters to move a little while chanting or focusing! This prevents the cancel of casts because of a stumble or accidental step forward, as well as making complete sense. My character does not appear to be so intensely concentrating that he could not take a step without losing total concentration; they can take some melee hits, after all!

These suggestions just make sense. We should already have this, to make playing experience less irritating.
