Announced as part of a press conference, Rhapsodies of Vana'diel is the final main scenario, and serves to tie together fourteen years of Final Fantasy XI, billed as "the ultimate compilation of all we have accomplished to date, with major characters from throughout the game's history making appearances." The scenario consists of three separate chapters released for free, debuting in the May, August, and November 2015 version updates, respectively.[88]
