    04-June-2019 Constant 90002 Errors when in Instances

    One month ago, I created this thread (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...n-in-Instances) which was closed because the maintenance fixed the issue with FFXIV's server causing the disconnects.

    Suddenly today, with absolutely zero changes in my local network, I am getting constant 90002 errors AGAIN. What on earth is going on with the Aether datacenter that this is such a reoccurring issue? Last time I was out of the game for weeks (during time I'm still paying a sub for, but can't actually play).

    The issue is exactly the same as from the last thread. Yesterday and the weeks before were perfect, but right now it's constant 90002 errors in dungeons (with some occasional disconnects in the overworld as well).

    Also, I never got a response to my issue last time, despite having the thread up for so long, so hopefully someone from the support team replies and advises when the server issues are expected to be resolved.

    I apologize for the delay in our response to your concern. What system do you play on and are you connected to the router directly or through wifi? Do you only get disconnected during instances?

    Thank you for your response. Please note the previous thread I linked to, as that has the details of the troubleshooting steps I have already performed, as well as details of where / when disconnects are frequent.

    Thank you for the reply zookalicious. We apologize for the delay in our response to both of your threads.

    Based on the trace routes from the previous thread, it looks like you are running into some congestion along your way to the server. If you have done all of the troubleshooting you mentioned, it's likely not caused by your local network. However, once it leaves your local network, the connection gradually worsens. Unfortunately, it also looks like a VPN didn't improve how you are routed.
