AATN:FFXIV DEVELOPMENT! the commendation system is a joke!

i'll try keeping this to a minimum! the commendation system is exactly what i said a joke.im so sick and tired of giving people one because they i felt deserved it yet i get none its total "BULL" the whole commendation system needs a major overhaul because currently it's a one way street if i give one i should receive 1 .you can disagree all you like but fact are facts and before telling me any reason defending it dont bother i been on ffxiv for almost 4 years and guess how many commendations i received vs what i gave i just got 107 so sad ill never get the higher rewards with a crooked system like this when i give i should receive period its a unfair system and it "MUST STOP" and "MUST CHANGE"

Maybe they didn't feel you deserved one? Though honestly if you are playing DPS, its rare you get one. Usually the tanks are the ones who get showered in it because they are the reason they actually got into the dungeon to start with. Also a simple "Hello" seems to help too, I know some will write off a commendation simply cus no one said hello back.

107 Commendations over 4 years... Do you greet people you play with/ thank/ or congratulate them when the boss is beaten?Or they hit a new level once they pass 60? Do you try to do your chosen class to the best of your ability? Do you do things that help the party out aside from class buffs or ptelodon to speed up things?

Are you Curmudgeounly, cranky, or rude to others? Do you hit what your tank is targeting? Do you rush things? Do extra pulls because the tank isnt pulling enough for your tastes, AoE? cause all of the mentioned have been reasons some people have given for giving a commendation or passing someone up for one.

I wouldn't give you a commendation for using all caps.

Press the buttons, make the run go fast, maybe have a nice glam or be female roe. Get a comm!

Just pick a funny name or something, then people will give you commendations even when you don't say a single thing because it sticks out for them.

For real though, commendations aren't really supposed to be a "gg" where everyone gets one and you say it to everyone, thus making it devoid of meaning. Do something to stand out.

Maybe try being nice and having a positive attitude in your dungeon runs. Nobody cares or can even tell if you're playing well. You've gotta be marketable.
