They talked about Beastmaster but pretty sure based on what i have read and heard that the idea was cancelled. There was an interview, or perhaps it was tamer.

I'd like to interrupt the 'limited job = bad' circlejerk for a moment to say that this is actually a decent idea to be fair, and not one I believe I've seen before either.I argee that limit job need work I would like see you able work with your squadron in dungeon. I understand that blue mage is different for other jobs which is kind nice
may I suggest you add to blue mage a lvl 50 artifact weapon quests give blue mage more they can doing.
A relic weapon grind along with squadron access (and the whole job being as OP as advertised) and BLU could have been a decent amount of fun.
Still prefer a real BLU job though.

Yeah, something beyond getting skills and maybe doing the weeky challenges in the maskdmed carnival. They could get real creative with it instead of fate farming, like a puzzle with your spells.
It was fun to level at the start but i havent touched blu since the month of its release..

"Limited" jobs doesn't even sound like a legitimate concept. It sounds more like an excuse to have Blue Mage be a side-quest, except we can call it a job because hey "limited jobs" are a thing, right? It will likely be abandoned like many of the attempted and failed concepts. I love this game, but when something doesn't work out right, they often end up collecting dust.
I like the concept. It's fun side content, like the gold saucer. And the jobs they pick for it are probably jobs they're not likely to add as main jobs anyway. A new casting dps would have been added, at SOONEST, 7.0. I somehow doubt they would make beast master into a regular job with lots of pets to choose from given they still haven't expanded egi glamours other than enabling carbuncles. Limited jobs are just fun side content that takes less time than full on jobs.
I don't think getting blue mage as a limited job has robbed us of blue mage as a normal job. I think they had no plans to add blue mage as a normal job and so used the limited job idea as a way to put it in the game without needing to be.
They are wasting resources on useless single-player limited job that no one play anymore, instead of giving us a healer.
Well...

at first I thought that limit job should become full jobs and I hope at some point they will, yet have puppet master beastmaster blu all limit job may give time to develop them at some point when they feel confendence with combat of the other jobs them maybe tried bring them into full fledge jobs but beast master puppet master blu are all complex jobs, Yoshi P is concern about how player will adept to them give them a limit job stat and at some point see how they can be balance see if they evenaulty become full job if outcry is loud enough then good. it all about balance dps tanking healing. I wish SE could tried alittle more hybrid jobs concepts myself

Limited Jobs = Yoshi P's Limited thought process.
Make BLU similar to FFXI. you have X blumage spell slots at Y lvl and Z blumage points. you can set spells up to either your blu points or up to your max slots.
once chosen and dungeon is flagged in duty finder you can no longer change spell slots, and are locked till dungeon is over.
If you do not know a spell from X category, (e.x. range, healing, or what ever categories SE decides merits dungeon entry) you may not enter the content.
About potency, "spells that you can cast, in no way have to be as strong as the monster using the same ability. " ( just need to be based on your characters arbitrary stats.) = Balance*
( if a spell is broken its the DEVs fault not the job concept)
Death and other special spell effects that are considered game breaking, can work on trash but not on bosses.
To balance all jobs and due to the fact that most new jobs start at a higher lvl anyway, why not remove levels altogether. this would allow for all jobs present and future to have a greater balance, as DEVs can concentrate on the abilities at a static value, rather that changing every lv. ( this idea is further strengthened, by the fact that lvl means nothing and item lvl is king, )

Limited jobs aren't jobs, they're minigames and should be considered as such.
They're fine imo and more people will hopefully come around and see it that way. No need to remove them, heck even bring in more!
Just as long as you don't see them as jobs.

Which is why they should be ridiculous. We should be able to solo primals with them. We should be able to waltz through dungeons doing a Shantotto laugh because the mobs are fools for challenging us. We should be absolute gods on BLU, to add to the fun factor. It would also make farming old content very satisfying.
