Build a Role: What Could Have Been (Job Reworks)

So, 5.0 is coming, John Snow... lol? Anyways, yes 5.0 is coming and well not everyone is "pleased", so I thought I'd make a thread that hopefully makes things a bit more lighthearted, hopefully.

Basically, how did you want the job to be expanded upon or reworked. Let's create a new adjustment for the current jobs, so Gunbreaker and Dancer are out, since their playstyle is undetermined. This will be the same thing as if you were making a job from scratch but it's the rework design you feel/felt should happen in 5.0.

There are however 2 guidelines, otherwise it's just you making a new job entirely.

1: You have to stick with their current systems. What I mean by this is each Job already has an established system in 4.0, and it's not being completely reworked for 5.0, just expanded upon; so please don't reinvent the wheel. To put it simply, sorry WHMs you are stuck with the Lily gauge. If your rework does not have this gauge, basically, the current system for the job it does not belong here. I am not saying that the idea or the system you create would be bad, it probably 10x better, but that wouldn't fit this topic, since it would just be a brand new job idea. You can rework or expand upon the system, but it has to be that system. Again, using WHM as an example, you can't say okay forget the lily system, we are gonna use a nature system instead. Why not incorporate a nature system into the lily system, sorta like the blood lily thing. Again, this is not to cause any issues, it's just so that we can all be on the same page in keeping the jobs current identity.

2: You can shift, rearrange, adjust, rename, and mess around with any skill or trait they currently have, and of course add new ones. But you cannot give them back something they lost, at least not as it was. Basically, if you wanna give them something they had at one point in 2.0/3.0, but lost in 4.0, it has to be a new skill; and it cannot be at low level either. It should ideally be a 70+ skill, but it can go as low as 62. So sorta like how WHM is getting Shroud of Saints back as Temperance, their level 80 skill. Again, this isn't to cause issues, it's just to keep the starting point the same for everyone. Oh, there is one exception, lol. WHM can have Protect back at whatever level seems appropriate, mostly because it's an iconic WHM spell, and honestly, while I am glad SE is "removing" it, why it wasn't reworked is beyond me.

PS; if you rename a skill, please tell us what the original name was. The tool tips should remain roughly the same, but not everyone is familiar with every job. Also you can obviously use new stuff they already showed us, lol.

But I digress. Let's all have some fun with this and look forward to well umm... yeah.

Also, I know I can't stop anyone from following the "rule". I mostly just have them to guide people. So please I don't wanna be attacked for asking people to stick to a theme. Thank you.

I will post my thoughts soon, since IRL is preventing me at the moment, T.T

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
