Wait, there is no more Refresh?

Um, why? That was one of the most useful buffs. Is it because Lucid dreaming is only 60secs refresh now?

All abilities that could give MP to others appear to have been removed. I guess they want jobs to be self-reliant in terms of MP.

Yeah, it seems like they're trying to make MP management more of a personal issue, as well as making Ranged support less of a "must have" job for raid groups. They took away Manashift from casters, too.
The real test will be if they've designed battles and mana usage on healers to support that idea.
Depending on how much mana people (especially healers) come back with after being raised, I can see us getting Refresh and Manashift back in 5.1 if we make enough noise.

In SB, you needed refresh/mana shift for many different reasons.

Those reasons made people prefer having jobs that offer them over those that don't. They wanted to get rid of this and make it fair among all jobs.

It is not a big problem. If we go back to HW days, BRD/MCH giving MP/TP got dps penalty for doing so. And for that reason, HW healers had to manage their MP for both healing and dpsing.
