I for one am happy with Healer changes.

I've seen a lot of people spew hate towards dev team for changes to Scholar in particular, and very little praise.
Personally I'd like to step up and say that I'm very happy with Scholar changes.

Thanks to the new changes, I was able to fit in most of the skills in 1.5 controller hotbar sets - one full Set 1, and the half accessed through LT+RT. I can now put all my important damage and healing actions, as well as some support ones in one set, no longer needing to swap between set 1 to do damage and set 2 for healing. I expect that thanks to this, I'll be able to heal more in upcoming content.
I liked having Energy Drain for sure, it was a nice way to dump Aetherflow stacks. However, I do not think it was part of Scholar's job identity.

It might not seem like much, but this is a huge convenience update for me, and I'm sure many other controller players. And for that, I wanted to thank you, Square Enix.

It was, because it was a part of Aetherflow management.
Playing with the lvl 68 trait to reduce the cooldown, choosing the opportunity to either regain mana and dpsing or healing (this and dissipation aetherflow stack as well)
Now all we have is healing even if it's not necessary and we no longer can be as flexible as before.
Having to know encounter was a pretty good component of scholar aetherflow management as well as what made it fun.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

I played HW SCH and SB Scholar on controller and I have no idea what you are smoking. Yes, there were a lot of buttons, but most certainly doable to play at the highest level. I'm glad you're enjoying having a boring rotation now though because you can't properly manage your hotbars.

The whining threads exist too, but they seem to keep popping up.

No, a happy healer titled thread exists. Nothing in there save the OP came from happy healers, they hijacked it into yet another whining thread.
