Thank you, appreciate it!Final Fantasy XIV is definitely the best mmo at the moment. But eventually other MMOs will catch up, even surpassing the game. The game really needs to improve on its graphics engine and it’s character customization to officially be king of MMOs.
Even free MMOs with no subscriptions have better customization and graphics than this game. It’s just the free ones lack in replay value and content, where FFXIV doesn’t.
Anyways, love what you did!
Hey, Happy Gamer! Thanks for stopping by man hehe
Yeah, I didn't realize they'd dropped support for PS3. That was a bummer to hear!

Final Fantasy is an R-P-G,
The Only One that I need
It's the RPG for me...
Depending on what you are looking for the top MMOs are interchangeable for the most part (FFXIV, WoW, GW2 etc). Blizz is currently dropping the ball with bfa so its prime time for SE but I think they are playing it way too safe with shadowbringers. It is just more of the same formula. Easy duties to grind tomes and single room arena boss fights for raids.
I personally want more challenging pve content alongside savage raids. Most of all kombat is just mass aoe pulls with little to no thought. Do wish for some old school content WoW had in their 5 man dungeons where planning and crowd control were nessecary.

FFXI > ffxiv

By Far the most stable choice in MMO's right now. Not a lot of quality MMO's out there right now but for what its worth I'll always come back to this one =) Also now that City of Heroes (Homecoming) is back for the time being, Thats been absorbing my time & can't recommend this enough for anyone thats never played it while waiting for EA.
Yep if they had the time and resources to add the missing genders would be the perfect MMO! But like any other MMO it has many advantages and a few disadvantages. After 6 months of playing, I finally hit ilvl399 and have accomplished most of what I wanted to do (with the exception of the Beast Tribe quests and a couple other things) but I'll focus on them once Shadowbringers hits. In light of that, I went ahead and did a video on FFXIV with my thoughts on the game:

As long as they do not change FFXIV formula into a try hard version of WoW v2 will be ok with it.

yea until blade and soul unreal engine 4 update comes out and ff14 will be the side mmo. Bns has the better story, character design, world design and each patch feels different. Not hating on ff14 but saying it is the best is kinda...a stretch. ff14 is great and all but the combat shows its flaws in eurka because it is boring. Defend it as you will but bns combat is just to grind and kill stuff. i do love everything else about ff14 but the lack of changing up the forumlas or adding new flare to dungeons makes it get kinda old. Also mmos are dying ff14 doesnt really have much competetion...wow classic...ummm mmos are so dead they are trying to use nostalgic to save itAfter 6 months of playing, I finally hit ilvl399 and have accomplished most of what I wanted to do (with the exception of the Beast Tribe quests and a couple other things) but I'll focus on them once Shadowbringers hits. It seems you are placing your faith in Bloodlust too much..UE4 can be just as bad if not worse than UE3 in the hands of a bad developer and thats exactly what BL is.yea until blade and soul unreal engine 4 update comes out and ff14 will be the side mmo. BnS is far too pay2win to even be an enjoyment for newer players, and in general the community is 20x worse than FFXIVs will ever be. People dont welcome you.
BnS offers so little compared to FFXIV,the only good thing is the combat. the story stopped being good patches ago,idk what you still enjoy to it. its setting is a K-Drama and a predictable one too
and thats coming from someone who plays BnS since 2013 in various regions etc. NEW Cosmetics are all locked behind rng boxes or trove. They dont sell new cosmetics for direct purchase on Cash Shop anymore either.
The BnS maps are truly empty compared to FFXIV. Yes character customization is better. but overall FFXIVs only flaws comparing it to BnS is character customization and combat.
I legit replaced BnS with FFXIV at february when i tried this game. I still play BnS ofc and ill never quit it due to how much ive invested but yeah FFXIV offers almost the same things as BnS but more and much better.

As a game and as an MMOrpg experience, it is only as good as the fans behind it, i don't believe this game would be what it is if it weren't for the world of Final Fantasy itself, and whether people care to say or not, it relies heavily on how the consumer feels about the franchise; if they are a FF veteran or not, and if they are willing to indulge the deep world that's been built over the last... 32 years?(and thats for those who really REALLY care to enjoy this to it's fullest)
Final Fantasy XIV Online isn't just a mmorpg, it's a commitment; it's a marriage one never asked for, but often glad had been endured.
But i'm not ready to say something is great and wonderful just because it's currently trending via google analytics;
Shadowbringers Google Analytics:
Final Fantasy XIV Google Analytics:
FFXIV for me personally earned this spot because of what it has gone through, what it has achieved both financially and critically, and how it has touched so many fans around the world. It can't be so easily binary.
As a critic who might look at a MMORPG trending, experience what they can of it; make a choice of how they feel about it, -doesn't come close to evaluating the scope and magnitude surrounding FFXIV- The fandom alone around the world dwarfs just about any other video game fandom out there- except for Final Fantasy itself.
That brings me back to the main point, this is first and foremost a Final Fantasy game, and that is what helps drive it's success and perseverance.
And of course a MMOrpg entry in the franchise is always an easy way to pick up new Final Fantasy fans.
