Increase Friend list limit

Hi. I've been playing since beta of the game and I've garnered much people on my Friendlist since then. I've been putting great effort to keep people in the game and helping out our local community so it is a bit of a problem to keep track of friends both in my server and within my data center. It is my humble request to please increase the friend list limit from 200 as it is a constant struggle to delete some old friends who are coming back to the game for Shadow bringers to add new ones.

I know this isn't going to affect a large amount of players but I hope you would consider. It is a real struggle to let go of old friends to add new ones.


I really want to make more friends without sacrificing my old ones.



Why I don't want to delete my old friends:
1. I want to know when they've come back to the game
2. I want to be able to welcome them back
3. I want to send them return passes so they can try out the game again
4. I want to re-introduce them to our local community

I could list more but I hope this could be heard.

If this is already a planned change that has yet to be announced (or it was but I missed it)

Something something likely server limitations. If they did not care to come back or find a way to contact you during a free log in campaign, then I think it's best to delet them. You either have a PC or PS4, which has programs for friend keeping. There is also browser discord for PS4. You have a way to get to them out of game. I really think 200 is enough because I highly doubt there is a mass of players who regularly communicate with all 200 people on their list and would need this bumped to 300.

Communication is not a one way street. Sometimes you have to Let it Go.

I understand how you'd think of it as such but since I help manage a local community, this will be a great help to me and my friends. The ease of teleporting to their housing to hang out, the ease of messaging them as soon as they're online in the game can't be provided by discord and PSN, sadly.

It would be great if SE could increase this limit. I want SE to know this is something I'm struggling with at the moment. They wouldn't know if I won't speak up. Hope they would reconsider but I won't hate/complain if they don't.

I've been at 200 for a while now, and deleting less active people to make room for new friends is never something I want to do. I understand if Square Enix has other priorities, but I would love an increase in the friend list limit!
