As for the clicking, I can see the appeal to it, every time you press the skill it feels more personal when you execute.
actually its almost as successful as ff14. its HUGE in korea and the east as one of the top 3 main games played. stop quoting dead memes to look cool. also, it crashed so hard that they can afford to make 3 mobile games, an anime, and move the entire game update the graphics to un4 this year. Oh no what a terrible situation making millions. How will they ever survive?

But even that game i play with gamepad and love it

I main heals, so maybe the reason why I converted away from it was because I play healer, although another person commented that they have no problem while healing with clicking.
I can never go back, as I now find it tedious to be clicking on a player, then dragging my mouse all the way to click on my healing ability, then dragging it all the way back to click on another person.
The reason why I was a clicker, was because my first MMO was Runescape, and it was ALL clicking.
Since I stopped clicking, I have been able to make my crossbar icons smaller (So I can see more on the screen) and up the sensitivity of my mouse, so I can just do one flick of the wrist to get to the party list.
I also use WASD keys for movement, as well as my mouse, but I swapped my A and D turning for strafing, I find it makes it easier to dodge, while freeing up Q and E for my most used abilities, so I don't have to move my hand very far.
If I wanna go RP and turn the old way, I just use Shift+A,D

Yep, I've been main heal/tank/support/hybrids pretty much my entire MMO career. I still find it impressive that my co-healer plays pure controller. Since DPS really don't need to interact with anything other than their hotbars ever, as a healer probably 2/3rds of my targeting is either F1-8 or clicking the party frames, and as a tank I use the enmity list to target quite often.

Pretty sure my A/D are strafe as well, but given that I mostly turn with the mouse I don't think about it much.

Corsair Scimitar Pro+Corsair K95 RGB platinum. I use Shift+1-12/Shift+Q,V,R CTRL+1-12/M3+modifiers. I used to be a half keybind+half clicker when I played WoW where the most i was comfortable doing was 1-5 lol. I dabbled in Tera a bit which basically forces you to stop clicking. FFXIV actually taught me to broaden my horizons when it comes to keybind and now I have literally every ability for every job at 70 either keybinded to my keyboard, Mouse and Keyboard+mouse buttons.

Once you get experienced with it you can't go back. It's actually because of this that I just can't get myself to play on PS4. Everyone's differen't though.

I paid £90 for my Naga Trinity. The flexibility of it (3 mice in one basically, with those adjustable sideplates) makes it well worth the cost to me. So I don't see that as raising the Naga Trinity. Sure, yours is cheaper, but mine is more flexible. Plus, combined with the keypad I use, it's just insane. It's how I play the game.

That and my Naga Trinity is a perfect combo. It also all runs through Synapse 3, creating endless possibilities. How about a hypershift key for example to change things on my mouse (like I could have a hypershift key to change the DPI switch buttons on my mouse to toggle party members temporarily while I hold the HS key).

Context for members who didn't see my previous post, here is the mouse I'm referring to:

EDIT: I am officially an idiot. Just remembered, I could use the scroll wheel for party members, hypershift it to target enemies. But the hypershift being able to affect the mouse AFAIK still exists. I can definitely however map multiple profiles to my mouse and use my keypad to change the profiles.

As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

I'm a clicker. When I first started I did use my keyboard but once I got to 7 I couldn't do it anymore. Now I just click everything. I think I've done well enough with SMN, AST and MCH. I will say MCH took the most practice to get my wildfire rotation down but I do pretty good I think. Honestly it's just muscle memory and knowing just how much and where to move my mouse. Plus you don't have to have to look at your hot bar that long just quick glances to make sure your mouse is where it should be also setting up your HUD layout just right. Aoe aren't really an issue and if they are it's usually my own poor reaction time.

I do however want to learn Monk cause it looks like a fun job but my issue isn't clicking everything it's remembering positional. I also play to main DNC and based on the videos I've seen it will take some getting use to but honestly I'm not that worried just gotta practice and get my hotbars just right.

I will say that I did try a controller but honestly being this late in the game I just couldn't do it. I don't want to have to relearn my jobs and start from scratch. Maybe one day I'll make an alt and give it another go but at this current moment I see no need.

while you've clearly proven this to be true in your case, it still seems like insanity for some reason. My eyes go down to my hotbar just to check cooldowns but thinking about looking at my hotbar just to move my mouse to the correct one is unthinkable, i have no idea how you do it.

    Easy: Muscle Memory.
The moment you have your skills position in, you don't really need to look at them. I also don't have tunnel-vision.
I play all sorts of classes (I call myself rather a main-healer but have fun with dps'ing and tanking aswell). My HUD is a bit more clutted on the left side, so I don't look across the screen on partylist, enmity list etc.
I seriously don't get why it's so unthinkable a person can be a pure-clicker without issues? Back then when I was still on PS3 and had to switch bars, that's when I started to had issues. Switched on PC, being just a clicker since then, no problems.
It kinda depends on the person itself, honestly.

if I could make an ex-run of whatever primal with an eye-tracker, people would see how I would look at the screen.. but I don't have a VR

(edit: ugh, forgive me any typos or whatever I no found yet. I rather should be in bed now)
