You know what would be cool?
A "dance dance revolution" GATE , kinda like / derived from the Suzaku one.

Also the skydiving from Byakko would make a cool game. You fall down aiming for point boards while evading deadly balls of whatever. Maybe something could be made from Genbu and Seiryu as well, turn it in to a big whole Auspice minigame roulette!
Things that I would love in GS:
- Snowboard GATE
- Diffferent difficulties for the Air Force - and different scenarios too
- Slot machines
- Casino roulette minigame - something high risk, high reward
- Hotel square, add that spooky hotel from FF7! I'd spend more time in the GS if it had that thing instead of going to Kugane or Ul'dah inns
- Ferris wheel for romantic firework sightseeing
FF14 has way too much latency for anything involving rhythm, just look at how much of a delay there is between hitting jump and the animation starting![]()
About 1/4 to 1/2 second probably. It's especially noticeable in Chocobo racing, there's a significant delay for changing lanes or jumping. Maybe it depends on how close you are to the server.
Really late, but seems no one replied to this so thought I would at least.
The delay in chocobo racing is unique and intended, if you ever played Final Fantasy VII the chocobo racing there had the same intended delay on all your actions.
So it has nothing to do with ping to server.
This has already been suggested in another thread, but I'll agree again it would be a good idea, as would the Byakko based skydiving idea. For that matter, the 'Phoenix Says' mechanic could probably be modified into a decent Gate as well.
