Glamouring and replacing "Awoken" Anima weapon without completing the quest?

I have the Anima weapon quest and got to the 3rd stage (Coming into Its Own) which requires a lot of tomes of poetics for Unidentifiable items (and other stuff) which I am currently working on getting it.

My question is.. if I glamour my Awoken weapon, can I repurchase it or reacquire it somewhere again or do I have to start the quest from scratch?

I do know that after I complete the 3rd quest a "restoration nod" will appear to buy replicas but for that to happen I have to complete the 3rd quest and gather 6000 tomes of poetics and other stuff which is going to take some time. I wanted to possibly use the second version while I farm for the third.

So is there any way that I can glamour my Awoken weapon and get it back somehow without having to start from the very begging (and not having access to the restoration nod yet?

Nope. Nothing you can do about it now other than either push forward or start over.

You don't have to destroy an item to glamour it.

Glamour doesn't consume the weapon, so what's the problem?

You have the awoken weapon right now, and if/when you ever complete the 3rd quest, then the restoration node will sell you a replica of the awoken version.

It sounds like you always will have the weapon available. I'm not seeing a problem.

Alternately are you saying that you have put a glamour on your weapon and want to revert it to the original?

All you need is a "glamour dispeller" prism (available from the starter-gear sellers, glamour prism merchants and I think from the Fashion Report shop).

Then you go into the Cast Glamour menu and select "remove" at the top of the list.

Not that you need to remove a glamour to proceed, if that's the issue.

So, yeah, no problems. Use it as a glamour over another weapon, stash the anima away somewhere. Or glamour over the anima and continue on with whatever.

Although, I'm suspecting the issue at hand is possibly probably wanting to put the anima into the glamour dresser, which "destroys" the item (although, these days, you can pull things back out of it anyway), in which case, also still no problem, because your anima weapon probably can't even be put into the glamour dresser.
