Finding a house - are new FC basically stuck without?

I really really really doubt there will be enough houses on Aether and Primal even with autodemolition turned on and actively demolishing houses. Even the preferred servers on Aether have been closed to character creation during weekends and other peak hours. Square Enix will have to introduce instanced housing, add so many more new wards, and / or fix the click spam for people who want plots on busy servers.

I have my doubts, but I'm a pessimist.

Owning a house is actually an incentive to stay, especially with finite resources because you don't want to have to go through buying a house with this system. Almost nobody does.
The downside is obvious that on full servers you're giving nobody an incentive to stay except friends, and on emptier servers that people are less likely to be on and more houses are to be available, you have hundreds of plots that nobody wants.

Considering there's also the upcoming expansion, I can't imagine that many plots will become available, and even if they DO, they'll get snatched up, and we're back to this exact same problem on the populated servers.
