i've done tried this 6 or so times now and its getting on my nerves how the heck do you get past the meteor phase on this mission, iam a ilvl 342 red mage the other phases are a piece of cake but i can never get her health to 0 before the meteor goes kaboom and kills me

The meteor phase is you have to burn down the woman while avoiding AoE stuff before it hits the ground (30 seconds if I remember correctly).

tried it 4 or so times on a 340 red mage couldnt get past meteor, tried it on my bard same thing same with machinist, i switch to 320 samurai and she dies extremely easily not sure what that was all about

Sounds like a possible issue of lining up buffs correctly. RDM, BRD and MCH all have buffs that should be lined up a specific way to properly deal sufficient damage, especially on bursty DPS checks.

I wiped once, but only because I tried to focus Sadu in the end. She gets a defense buff from her adds, so you have to kill the adds and then Sadu to avoid dying to meteor.

As was said above, it's all about quick damage. Most SAM skills are instant, you can weave them while dodging. RDM only has a couple on a longish cooldown; if you're waiting to cast you're going to run out of time or get slaughtered by the AOEs.

This DPS check did seem a bit mean compared to some of the previous ones in the MSQ/job quests, particularly when it comes at the very end of a rather lengthy duty.

I can't imagine it being very doable by tanks/heals in lower ilvl gear unless they scale the boss' health down for them.

Kill the adds first. They take damage like wet paper and she sacrifices a big chunk of her health every time she revives them. She's also not attacking you the entire time she's reviving them.

I did it as Summoner and used Bahamuts Ack Morn, I think I ignored the ads too as I didn’t have time to kill them and her before the explosion
