So they thought it was pretty frivolous to add a check to see if you had fought the NM previously, given you'd be highly unlikely to have done it already at that level. But you came into this with a lot of gametime under your belt and a level 50, so stuff that would ordinarily be the first time you'd do, you've already done a hundred of times before.
    Agree with you.

I just think SE should show some respect for those of us who have been playing their game for over a year and not just recycle old stuff and name it new content. But if they must do that the least they could do is throw a bone at us and not force us to sink time in it if it can be helped.

So yes, I think the amount of time you have to invest in this game to have a little fun is way too much.

Again, it's sad, and if SE is thinking they will keep the players interested in the game longer that way they're wrong, they will lose more people by demanding they sink time in boring worn-out stuff than they manage to keep.

Niche MMO gogogo! People who like boring old same stuff O N R Y !

Again, this doesn't describe any other MMORPG out on the market today or been released the past 10 years. None at all.

Jesus, I heard you the first time, I just ignored you because you bore me.

In case you haven't noticed you are saying it's perfectly ok for this game to be boring, because other MMOs are.

You are even sadder, they have broken you into believing that any RPG that is played online by a massive (lol we don't have enough players to be massive) amount of players must be dull and repetitive.

    Edit:

How does it work? Do you guys ever were gamers or they kicked the gamer out of you one fetch quest at a time?

I grew up playing hard as hell games on my Atari > NES > SNES (and we stop there because I'm only covering my childhood) and I perfectly remember that no matter how many times we booted up contra or jackal or whatever it was still fun to play thru them.

Maybe it's my mistake and I just need to learn that MMORPG players are not gamers.

Yet you insist it's just SE that's like this instead of saying "MMO developers" you continually make it out to be SE is alone in this lol.

I grew up in the 70s and 80s as well, this is exactly why indie developers are thriving in this day and age, they know and remember these days, new age gamers don't really want games like this, they want games that has shiny graphics above anything. So I'm not saying its ok for SE to make a boring game, I'm saying to face facts this is how it's going to be because of the whole push for "casual" gameplay. Anything that stands out just plains get shat on in favor of main stream crap.

That "niche" you make fun of? That's what Contra was, it was for the hardcore gamers because just any gamer couldn't pick it up and blast through it masterfully.

Well we were around 10 years old and we could finish it without the konami code, if that didn't mean it was accessible enough for any gamer I don't know what.

Also you need to stop deluding yourself into believing your success in this game is based on eye-hand coordination skill, or strategy. MMORPG hardcoreness, unlike in real gaming, is nothing but sinking as many hours of your life doing menial boring stuff and associating with others who do the same. And that's not bad, but it doesn't/shouldn't/mustn't have to stay that way just because that's how the genre was born.

On a more relevant note: Ilean, I think people would take you more seriously if you weren't so unnecessarily rude in your statements. Stuff like "Jesus, I heard you the first time, I just ignored you because you bore me," isn't exactly friendly-talk.
True, I should have left that out. In my defense, I wasn't trying to be rude, I was genuinely disinterested, did you read what he posted the 1st time? Very kindergarten.

Then make a disrespectfull prejudice comment like this
Oh please, that's a classic online FF joke. I'll add "Not politically correct" to my signature later so you can sleep well.

I could care less about political correctness. I was pointing out your self contradiction.

I do so enjoy how you attept to justify it though. It is what it is. Just because a thousand other clowns say it doesn't make it less of a prejudice against folks. It doesn't hurt my feeeling in the least. I have to admitt though, I love the intelligence behind the whole "Jumping of a bridge is okay cause everyone else does it" defence.

There are many levels of respect. I don't feel that just because I made a tongue-in-cheek reference to a FF-online meme I have lost the right to demand the most basic form of respect that any game developer should pay to their customers, which is not waste our time with stuff that isn't fun.

According to you, right after you called me a clown (oh the contradition!!111), no one is allowed to demand any form of respect except for God and The Virgin.

    God and The Virgin O N R Y !
