I really like the Viera mannerisms and animations, but I don't like how the heavy armor looked on them. Somehow the proportions seemed wrong? Like the armor wasn't really fitting on the body type, making it look like it was a size too big for them (which now that I think about is also an occasional issue with my Au Ra)?

I think that's a feature of heavy armor and not Viera, because I have the same problem as a female Roegadyn. Hopefully we get more form fitting armor in the future, the kind that hugs the body instead of hovering around it.

Its possible. I am guessing that the heavier looking armors aren't fitted perfectly on the more lean (scrawny) pc models? It practically poked me in the eye when I was using the Bonewicca striking gloves as a miqote and then fantasiad into an aura. It was a relatively decent fit as a miqo, but when I put them on afterwards it seemed large, clumsy and 2 sizes larger than the arm. Never used it since.

Still, I guess it's on a case-by-case basis, as some other plate looking armors are fine?

Anyways, guess we'll see when ShB releases. Gonna make an alt and try on stuff before chugging a fantasia for sure though.

Ugh, yeah I've noticed the same thing with my female Roe alt. I knew things weren't sitting right but never got around to actually comparing screenshots like that.

I can only guess that it's something to do with the angle their hips are modelled at. All skirts seem to stick forward in the same way, and it makes it hard to find things that look nice.

On topic, I'm never going to transform my existing characters; I'd create an alt instead - though I'm probably not going to do that any time soon either because I've got enough characters 'on the go' already, and I've already got a concept character waiting for when I want to replay the story.

Will certainly play around with the new races to see if there's a design I like more, but I'm not really excited by either of them. Hrothgar look better than I thought they would, though.

Undecided. I like tall women, but Highlander emotes aren't my taste, and Roes and Elezen have weird proportions, so I'm tempted. But I'm also attached to Iyami as she is.

If New Game+ does keep the free fantasia from completing the Praetorium quest, I'll try it out and decide then. Otherwise I'll probably keep waffling and never actually do it.

I don't think i'll change my main race now. Vierra are nice but this lack of ear animation kills all the mood for me.

I dont plan to change at launch, but I may change into Viera sometime after I have beat main story. Wont be changing into a Hrothgar however. My character just wont do it as one.

But I might make a Hrothgar alt. And I am thinking of changing one of my current alts into a Viera for a little while. None will be permanent Viera at this moment.

Viera are meh in my opinion and this is why:

no ears animation :/ it's the same as using the ears from the gold saucer
the emotes lack emotion (and the ears do nothing lol)
can't be short
no tail

The no tail was 'kind' of a bummer for me.. but then on thinking it a bit more... wouldnt it just be covered up by most clothing anyway? I mean.. rabbits dont have 'long' tails to begin with, even if they had a cut-out in the armor for it to stick out from, it'd just be a small bump.

Ears not animating are a 'bit' of a let-down. But Miqo'te ears dont animate either do they? only their tail does.

As for the Animations... we only get to see 5 animations in the Character creation screen.. (at least i havnt seen any pre-release videos showcasing any of the other animations). We'll have to wait and see how the others look

I shouldnt. But if I’m going to disobey myself, I might wait to change I dont know. I don’t usually like seeing mirrors everywhere and it seems like everyone is going Viera.
