If I had to wager a guess, the bots may have temporarily overloaded the instance servers by spamming it with queues, not unlike the great Raubahn wall of early SB. Even World Travel queues seem to get stuck at times if several people are trying to crowd into a server simultaneously (Generally because of a S rank hunt spawning), forcing you to back out and requeue to get in.
There's several dozen parties of bots per DC entering and exiting the instance at intervals of a few minutes, so I'd be surprised if it wasn't straining the server.
Day Three:
Still unable to obtain a server. Stuck at reserving server for hours on end. I have submitted roughly 20 tickets over this 3 day period, have not once been contacted by a GM to address this legitimate "obstruction of my gameplay" (they like that phrase). At a bare minimum, a GM should take the time to recognize this issue and apply any assistance possible, failing that, they should assure me they will contact the department that can resolve this problem.
This is totally unacceptable. THREE days of this. NO response at all from the GMs/SE. I have quested and alt tabbed during this extended period while enduring these infinite queues.

At this point I could bet that SE could have marked you as a spammer, and you know no one wants to deal with those.
Heck, if I was the one that made the ticket system, I would just delete the old unanswered tickets and put the newest one at the end of line, effectively meaning you would be sabotaging yourself by creating new tickets.

They havent contacted me once during the entire 3 days this has been ongoing. They obviously don't value me as a customer at all. They have a D- rating with the BBB, Blizzard has an A+ rating. Every other ranking site Ive found has SE at the bottom of their point system. SE has the worst customer service of any company in any industry I have ever dealt with, and that assessment includes other occasions they have miserably failed to meet a bare minimum standard of respect for their customers. I like this game very much, but that's irrelevant if these factors continue to be so significant.Dude, chill. It's also the weekend. Also, the BBB is useless as companies can pay to get their ratings increased. I tried solo queuing for the instance yesterday and had no issues getting in.
However, I was doing it from Cactuar where the bots have been locked out due to character creation being suspended. Could that make a difference?
Not saying that a workaround would be acceptable or anything, though.
