running on 9.0c for months, can't get directx11 version to run, worried

AMD Radeon HD 8990 (dell version) with latest 19.5.2 drivers

why won't this launch with directx 11 -- I've been running on 9.0c for MONTHS and now that you say you're getting rid of that, well, I want to play the game, but it won't run ...

and yes windows update literally just downloaded anything new and I restarted.

please help ... otherwise I'm not going to be able to play your game any more, and I really want to. Thanks

Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

There is an error message or crash that happens when you try and run the game? If so, could you provide the error message in your next reply? What have you tried to alleviate the problem? Are you running Final Fantasy XIV with any other programs running?

Could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

Hi I needed to download some Directx file from June 2010 -- apparently I was missing some files. Thanks anyways tho. My friend helped me Glad to see that you guys are quick to respond -- thank you for your help
