    where did you install the game? try default location if changed.
    did you have the rights to write in both directorys? the installation folder and the documents / my games / final fantasy folder?
    try delete the ffxiv folder in documents too

    the maintanance has nothing to do with the error, servers still all online

    Currently in the middle of a reinstall, I believe by default it's installing into Docs/Games/FFXIV folder as you mentioned, I didn't alter file location

    -Wired or WIFI connection
    -Other programs being used when running FFXIV
