Ultimate raids

I recently was looking at the way raids worked in ffxiv and I really liked the system and how the raid tier works. I then stumbled across a post talking about how they arent doing ultimate raids anymore because of feedback.

Is this still the case going into the next expansion? Are they done with ultimate raids? I couldn't seem to find any information on it.

I don't know what your sources are, but I haven't heard that. The last quote I saw was to expect 2 Ultimate fights per expansion.

When I was trying to look up the last ultimate raid in storm blood I had found an mmo champion post talking about them not doing one. And I couldn't find any more info on what the future plans were.

That's why I came to the forums to ask

they wanted to do a 3rd ultimate in stormblood but after feedback they decided not to. that's all. there will be ultimates in 5.0. whether or not there's 2 or 3 remains to be seen. it all depends on how it goes down.
