Shadowbringers Benchmark -- Widely varying scores -- Anyone else?

So I've been scoring just about 17,000 on 4k max settings all day long, no OCing involved, in windowed mode.

I switched to full screen mode and my score dipped down to somewhere upward of 7000.

Switched back to windowed mode and the benchmark performs as if I'm still in full screen mode, giving me that same 7000-ish score.

It's like the benchmark thinks I'm still in full screen mode or something. Does anyone know what's going on here, know how to remedy this? I'm really confused.

EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 XC Ultra

Probably Vsync, check your Nvidia system settings or control panel. There is also a profiler which lets you control various settings, such as FPS cap, etc.: https://nvidiaprofileinspector.com/

Vsync: tried toggling off, no change. Tried toggling to any other setting, no change.
Nvidia Profile Inspector: frame rate limiter shows as OFF
    Other actions taken:
    1. Complete uninstall and reinstall of graphics drivers and accompanying software. No change.
    2. Deleted Benchmark and re-unpacked .zip folder. No change.

To restate my problem. I had been scoring 17000-ish with 4k max settings windowed for several days. I switched to full screen mode 4k max settings and my score dipped to around 7k. I switched back to windowed mode, and it's like the benchmark still thinks it's in full screen mode and scores around 7k. I truly hope I can figure out what cost me that 10k difference in score and rectify it.

Hit save score, see what the difference is. It shows you average and minimum framerate.

Though, looking back, I'm wondering if the original was a mistake and it wasn't running at 4k. 17000 for 4k seems a bit high for a 2080. I could be wrong though.

    I only get about 14000 at 1080p with a 980ti

The scores I was originally getting seem on par with scores I've seen for similar builds in that 'other' well known forum.

My wife's PC steadily scores between 20.5 - 21.0k on 4k windowed max settings, and she has a 1080, not a 2080. We have similar PCs. She had the issue, too, for a day, scores dropped down into the 7000-8000 range, and then they just jumped back up with no apparent explanation.

I can still score 21k + in 1080p, I never even bothered running 1080p until after this issue cropped up.

I'd bet that you aren't actually running at 4k, especially if she's getting it with a 1080. Actually save the score, and open the text file. It gives you more information about the settings that were run and the resolution and framerate.

Maybe it created a profile for the game once in fullscreen mode that wasn't there before. Try enabling fps counter through the geforce ingame overlay.

Yeah, I had already checked the saved data. Everything indicates 3840x2160, max settings, windowed. Just ran it on hers. Avg FPS was 154, near enough to make little difference with the Nvidia FPS overlay.
