Suddenly unable to launch the game, directx11 and KERNEL32.dll error

Hello! First time posting on here, I hope I'm in the right topic

So, this morning I wanted to launch the game after not playing for a few days, and I got this error:

I have no idea what any of this means, some other posts I have found say to disable directx11, or adjust other things ingame, but I can't make it that far. It gives me this error shortly after I press play on the square enix launcher.

Useful information:
I have recently (less than a week ago) upgraded several bits of my pc, changed from windows 7 to 10, and this is sadly not the only issue I've experienced. I had to reinstall windows 10 twice, reinstall/re-verify other games multiple times, switch to another browser after microsoft edge stopped working, andsoforth.

PC Specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 1700
ASUS ROG Strix B450-F
GTX 1060 3GB version
8gigs of DDR4 2400MHz RAM

Does anyone have an idea what this error causes, and what I could do to fix it? I can't verify the integrity of my game cache in steam, and I would like to save the reinstall-ffxiv as a last resort because of poor internet

Could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

Good afternoon and thank you for the reply.

When the game crashes, are there any programs running around in the background. In your original post you said you upgraded from Windows 7 to 10. Since the change, have there been any software updates? Could you also try a clean boot? open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything.

The windows 7->10 change didn't seem to matter at first, I managed to install Final Fantasy without much issues and it ran pretty well the first time. I don't think I've changed anything in the days between that and now except for a newer software version for my CPU. Running without any other applications hasn't worked sadly
