You keep saying this, but you've never given any actual evidence or indication of the majority being happy with the changes. Got a source on that 95%?
Unless your majority is anecdotal in which case it runs up against my anecdotal majority that don't like the changes lol

That said I do think calling for a boycott is a bit silly. The most effective boycotts are ones that happen naturally when people see/hear news or changes they don't like and make a decision, of which I'm hopeful they'll be in this case.

Hopefully they avoid the trash fire? You're basically arguing that people shouldn't be upset about something, because it might stop someone from wasting money on a bad product. Great logic

The issue isn't numbers, those can be adjusted easily. The overall design is bad... and there is no way they will address that before another expansion.

A trash product? So why are you even here on these forums? Just because the devs made some questionable design decisions doesn't mean the entire product is trash. I was machinist main through all of stormblood. I never once discouraged someone from picking up and trying this game or even trying machinist throughout all of stormblood. Given the fact that we don't know the full extent of the design decisions you can't make a well reasoned or even rational argument. I've never said don't be upset. I advocating for intelligent feedback that isn't equating to

"YOU DIDNT DO WHAT I WANTED YOU TO DO SO NOW THIS GAME IS GARBAGE"

when actually coming with a calm collected mindset and providing FEEDBACK would get you further than just going "REEEEEEE!!! SE DESTROYED MY JOB!!!! HEALERS GUTTED!!! HOMOGENIZATION!!! BOYCOTT!! PETITIONS!!!! MASS UNSUBS!!! REEEEEEEEEEE" If you had someone questioning your design decisions in your face the way some of you are doing on these forums you'd tell them to go eff themselves or you'd need psychiatric care. You would and the devs i'm sure would respond to well thought out constructive criticism rather than going full snowflake and melting down like the world is ending because a game's dev team makes a questionable design choice.

What kind of drastic action? KEEP YOUR HEALER OUT OF GROUP CONTENT IN 5.0. Run group content with something else. Eat the queues if you only have DPS, or perhaps try out GNB - tanking is easier than you think, GNB starts at lvl 60, and it even has a party healing ability!

I'll forgive WHM for breaking the picket, but SCH and especially AST have been massacred. If our jobs just vanish from the duty finder, and people start seeing "Adventurer in Need: Healer" more often than "AiN: Tank", it will have greater force than 100000 futile forum posts.

Another post about another healing that knows nothing about how balancing works. You havent even tried it yet. Most people are so happy with the changes that they are gonna try healing for a change. These post want attention but healers are in a really good spot. Please review and try to understand fun and balance before making post "the devs didnt give me what i wanted so that means it is broken."

Exactly. Raising concern about design decisions in a calm rational manner and emotionally throwing out calls of homogenization, healers gutted, boycott healers, mass unsubs, and petitions for peoples jobs (people who have bent over backwards to fulfill as many of the community’s requests as humanly possible let alone doing more than nearly mmo ever.) are completely different. Voicing concern mosy would have no issue with. Kneejerk emotional reactions are ridiculous and dangerous on so many levels.

I've been maining WHM since 2.0. Since Live Letter LI I've switched to BLM and haven't looked back. I would love for all of us to be wrong and for healing to be fun in Shadowbringers, but as it is I just don't see it.

Just like every expansion. Changes will drive current players of certain roles and jobs out of it and at the same time bring more players that enjoy the new styles and tools in. Don't try guilt trip the devs for you not liking the healer changes, thankfully the job system is amazing and you can simply play something else that you enjoy.

I'm glad there are suckers out there who will still be healing, truly. I need you to que as often as possible to level my dps jobs please. Because I know I'll never have fun with the SCH as is--it's dps kit has been gutted and it's 'pure healing' is way too boring on it's own. So, I'm glad to hear you'll still be playing the SCH and AST; have fun!
