    One thing to consider is that they've backed themselves into a corner with 2 options.

    A). Don't take this skill into consideration at all when designing content, making it pretty much a dead 80 slot on some encounters.

    B). Become forced to give every trial and raid boss a set number of 5 tick Meditate windows. Mandatory SB EX trial intermissions.

    Neither are good. Meditate itself is a great ability, but this just seems like a clunky idea that sounded "cool" in their heads, but they didn't think through properly. We're all looking forward to our 80 abilities, there are so many fun, straight-forward ideas they could pick. It'd be a shame to waste this one.

    Indeed. Though just based off of all the SB savage and EX primals. I doubt they're gonna design fights around letting samurai get a full 5 ticks of meditate more than once.
    So lets just hope they realized this skill was bad and they change it.

    and also look at the rest of Samurai Kit.
    500 potency is not that much to what samurai can already do, not to mention, you NEED 5 ticks of mediate to get 500 potency. Which you can at most only do once
    Anything lower than 4 ticks is not a big dps gain you only do it one or twice through out the whole fight.

    Most fights that let you sneak in a meditate when its not a full tick is only about 2 ticks or 1 tick. If the server favors you, you can get 3 ticks.(Fight depended)

    Our new combo finish potency buff is 470, not that far off from a GCD that we do all the time.

    Every minute, we can stand still for 5 ticks to do a 500 potency attack. Also every minute, we can use Tsubame-gaeshi to do an 800 potency attack and a 1,200 potency attack in half the time.

    I'll agree with this one, its really bad.

    500 potency is nothing anymore, and that's for max stacks.

    I would rather get this mediocre button than be stuck with some weird kludge garbage like TCJ. Our damage output looks like it's going to be completely wild in shb and I don't know if more frequent 500 potency ogcd's really makes sense in a world where I am not consuming sen for midares and also here is a second midare AND ALSO meikyo is 60 seconds instead of 80, and further, have some senei to the dome.

    Rare, but more or less free damage is ok to me. It is not an active detriment to the class like so many other mechanics have been in this game's life.
