I enjoy this a helluva lot more than Stormblood's battle theme.

I like the part that has the distorted vocals (here-ish)... The rest of it less so. I see myself turning it off pretty quickly tbh, especially when the open world themes we've gotten samples of sound so nice ^^;
I like it. I think it's time we try something new because we've been listening to the same kind of orchestra fantasy for the battle theme since ARR, so this rock music is refreshing to me.

huumm i didnt like soo mutch...i was expecting the first music of job actions.
This sounds way too over the top for fighting paissas, kedtrapsetc. in a field.
I mean I have combat music turned off anyway so it doesn't really effect me but still, I feel this would have been better used elsewhere, like for fighting elite hunt marks (which still get music if you have the regular combat music turned off).

Wow that doesn't work at all.
It feels like it's supposed to be a primal theme, not an "I'm fighting a paissa" theme.
This is going to be a "combat music off" expansion I see.
not really into it, it didnt give me that FF feeling. for a battle theme, its good but for FF14 battle theme its lacking something.
thankfully i never turn combat music on anyway, i always set it off because i like the map music more than the battle theme, juggling between map theme -> combat theme just ruin the atmosphere.
it's not that good compared to Soken's previous work; he's hitting musician's block where musicians deviate from what makes them great and start experimenting with a style that doesn't fit the franchise. If I was playing a random persona game I'd expect this, not FF.
It sounds like something from a cheap SSX game or some low budget ps2 game.
