Supposedly, it's the basic overworld battle theme. I actually like the Dungeon Final Boss theme but I agree with you. What makes me dislike this so much is the fact that that guitar at the beginning is grating.

Ah then i doubt i'll get too annoyed at it since be trying to kill before the fights get too far into it :P

I think so far guitar is going to be prominent in a lot of ShB soundtrack now hopefully its more on the main theme side rather than this side for me, i am fne with guitar being used i just think it is used poorly here its too overpowering to the melody and the vocal/chant that is trying to get through just can't, not Soken's best work but nowhere near his worst and i hope never to have to hear it again after 5.0 launches (it's SA hard mode theme, it just gives me a headache every time it is the only place i have ever muted my tv repeatedly due to the music since i started playing in 2.2).

The previous expansions' themes were great, but my first impressions were this one has missed the mark, unless it's a placeholder or the sound wasn't recorded well by MTQ. I may end up turning it off if it's that (I noticed the option to in Yoshi's System Settings on stream).

I suppose it's inevitable that after making hundreds of fantastic pieces, something misses the mark. Maybe it'll grow on me, but it makes it harder the longer it goes on.

In that video the biggest problem is the voice echoing. It sounds like there are sound equipment problems compared the one in the trailer:

Sounds alright but it doesn’t feels like it fits with the high-fantasy theme.

I only like the part that starts at 0:57 and again around 2:00...I wish it started there, because most overworld battles don't last that long.

I really like it. Definitely different but in a way it makes sense seeing as we're visiting a different "world" and all. I think the main problem is that it's very instant and blunt in sound. Maybe a bit of fade in would help people like it more.

For me personally... it sounds completly boring, generic (even more generic than ARR) and cheap.
I dont really want to insult anyone but i would even say it sounds like a "jam session" of a student rock band for me... and i thought ARR was allready bad for my ears.
So no... i dont like it at all...

The beginning sounds like a blender in a garbage can, but after that it's okay
