So what do you get when you play for seals? The same effect as the cards, but aoe.

If you only get 1 seal, the effect is 3% instead of 6%. Like I said, you don't even have to try to get them. You have 3 redraw charges and 180 seconds to get three seals, that have a 1/3 chance each to appear.

AST is the RNG class. AST is the utility class that could fix nearly any issue of a group. Poor mana management, poor TP management, squishy tanks, dps who stood in aoe's to finish their casts(cast speed).

You even agree that AST is supposed to be the utility class, so where's the utility?

Even if the seal system were to be expanded with more effects, the issue remains that pulling from a deck of cards acts like flipping a coin
