The tooltip says that for Demi-Phoenix, but Larryzaur demonstrated otherwise in his preview video. It didn’t use scarlet flame on oGCDs.by the way, there /will/ be some lining things up.
Tool Tips:
So summon Demi-Bahamut /has/ been paired down so that he only uses wyrmwave when we cast a spell. however:
So demi-pheonix will effectivly be the same weaving tricks we used with Demi-Bahamut in storm blood, with the added bonus that we instead of Ruin IIs, we have Fountain of Fire on instant cast.
All that said, it's hard to say if it's worth waiting on the recast of Energy Drain to allow 5 OGCD's (fester, fester, Energy Drain, Fester, Fester,) without sitting down and doing math. but the 20 second timer seems like it would limit that, especially because of enkindle phoenix.
Maybe. It could also be that he's going too fast, because Wyrmwave does have an internal cool-down, and scarlet flame likely will too, but hey its all up in the air because its still a test build
Is there a reason why Ruin III is changed to fountain of fire but do the same damage?
It’s actually weaker than a Ruin III enhanced by Ruination and the 100 potency gained from having both Miasma and Bio up. Potencies aren’t final, so hopefully they adjust it for the better.
Since tri-disaster becomes available when we summon Phoenix at Lv.80, it’s a little awkward to consider our Ruin III is stronger than our “Phoenix empowered” spells.![]()

Exactly what I was thinking. Why have this build up to a lvl 80 skill if it's really just the same as Ruin III?It’s actually weaker than a Ruin III enhanced by Ruination and the 100 potency gained from having both Miasma and Bio up. I know it's to proc Brand Of Purgatory but that doesn't seem very exciting.
Since the potencies are subject to change we won't really know until the patch notes drop.
The other thing to think about is the opener. Just a few things to consider:
1) they've removed 60s aetherflow so people don't need to wait for summoners CD between fights
buuut..
2) DWT doesn't require to be in fight now. So the obvious thing to do as I see it is precast DWT and wait until it recharges and start the fight with Bahamut followed by Phoenix...

I'm not entirely sure about that. During DWT you can weave up to 3 festers that are 400 potency each one (it's a lot of dmg) given DWT gives instant casts. If you force Bahamut from the very beginning, while Demi Bahamut is active you are most likely gonna be spamming ruin III, so no fester weaving unless you clip and waste GCD time or use Ruin II (which has been further nerfed...). I'd argue you may only want to use 2 ruin II during Bahamut, one for each Akh Morn. The other thing to think about is the opener. Just a few things to consider:

even if so doesn't starting with Energy Drain -> Bahamut (Ruin3 only) -> FBT/Phoenix + Ruin3 + weaving 2AF (+ second Energy Drain + 2AF) still sounds better then starting with DWT and have the filler phase in the first minute?
You won't loose any AF in any case. You just delay first DWT a bit in exchange for 2 AM. (And you get more Phoenixes in long run if they turn out to be better, don't think there is a point in exact math at this moment).

what nerf? It will be stronger then it is now. After Tri-disaster (or is that DWT you have in mind?) you want to spread dots (and ruination). It doesn't consume aetherflow so if there is free oGCD why not to cast it. And the reason to use it maybe even on CD: it seems to keep its "chance to renew dots" ability it has now.
