Shadowbringer: Summoner Changes Discussion

Well I can finally comment after power came back from storm...

So I'm thrilled they used my suggest of making Garuda an AoE pet and Ifrit the Single Target pet. But Titan Egi needs work to give him a place in the game. Flaming Crush should be changed to something with a single target feel since Garuda is your go to AoE pet now. Maybe 110 potency with an additional effect: 5 potency DoT for 30s would be nice?

Next is D-Phoenix. I like how it well change your spells for a fire aspect but Everlasting Flight is laughable and not needed. Maybe if it gave the summoner a 20s reraise effect, that if you somehow die while phoenix is summoned, you could just raise yourself once every 3 or 5 mins for balance.

Demi-Bahamut could have used some slight tweak to give him more presence and make it different from Demi-P. I still wish they would change Akh Morn to a GigaFlare type attack and make a one powerful enkindle over two Akh Morn.

Now for Titan Egi....
Rock Buster to 100 or 110.
Earthen Armor should be replaced with a 5% or 10% party defense buff that also has "Delivers an attack with a potency of 50 every time damage is suffered. Duration: 15s"
Mountain Buster should be a target stun plus 5% damage down debuff for 15s.
Earthen Fury should be changed to Razed Earth: 50 potency for 18s with an additional effect of Slow+5 in the puddle. Basically Shadow Flare.

Agreed. There are players that already think it's unfair for Summoner to have Resurrection, so if they gave us a Reraise effect, there'd be riots in the streets. I honestly want to believe "Everlasting Flight" is just a placeholder effect for something else, because it's really out of place. More out of place than Titan-egi.

Although, Titan-Egi will serve to give us a Further Ruin stack during downtime/boss invulnerability where we can use his shield ability without having anything targeted.

IDK, if you remove our resurrection and gave us a personal reraise with limits, people might be okay with it. Given that you would have to die within a 10 to 15 second window and once reraised you had a debuff that wouldn't allow you to have the effect again for another 5 mins it doesn't become a huge game changer.
