Why do Male options still seem to be less desirable?

So with two recent things that have occurred I figured I'd ask this. Once the Benchmark was released, people took note that Hrothgar cteation wasn't nearly as "involved" as Viera. And with the latest magstation school attire, the Male version loses its pattern/texture. I will say that unlike the female version, the bottom portion does dye, but what's the point of the texture then in the first place. SE has been doing good lately with their equal handling of male and female exclusive items, but does anyone else feel that they seem to have fallen backwards a bit as of late?

Its quite sad honestly. Hrothgar was looking good too until we found out all the limitations compared to Viera. I know it will get better later down the line but at this point I would rather them put in male Viera. At least they would have more customization than Hrothgar does now.

I hope that later down the line they can give us male viera and female hrotgar and that their customization isn't as limited. I'm quite sure male viera will look good since it's guaranteed to make them a ton of money and they'll put the efort, but I can't help but worry for female hrotgar after seeing the males

This thread isnt about male viera friend, not sure why you are tossing all that in.

On topic, im fairly certain the benchmark was rushed and hrothgar options was limited here. I say that until we hear more about it, we should look at it as such. Also, was fairly certain there was mention of a wolf like head, wonder what happend to that.

I was surprised by new attire. Seriously do not see any reason to remove all prints when it's dyed (except zori according to dye preview). I wonder if it can be adressed and fixed? Because... eh. Male characters are already quite often behind in terms of glamour, and now this.

As for Hrothgars, we still need to see how Aestethycan will work for them. I still have my negative doubts about their haircuts attached to faces but hope they can change them with Gils after all. Then maybe they will also recieve at least optional haircuts (Mog, PvP, Events and other activities), otherwise I don't know what to even think about it.

I like to believe this too, but at the same time, if this was the case they would [-should-] have addressed it from the beginning.

I'd like to think the benchmark was rushed - or rather, not completed due to time crunch. However, with the options Hrothgar has I wouldn't be surprised if their hair was sadly tied to their head - barring the paid versions. At the same time, they're not really under any obligation to make the paid hairs work for Hrothgar. When the hairs were released they were able to be used for the specific race/genders at that time. People paid and got what they wanted at that time. Hrothgar wasn't a part of that. So, yeah, I can't say I'd be all too shocked if a disclaimer was added that the paid hairs are not available for Hrothgar and if you wish to use them then you should return to the previous race you were using for compatibility. It would suck, but eh... just shrug.
