Yea the old system had some flaws but it's biggest one of getting the card you need at the time you want could've been solved with an ocgd ability every 120/180s that borrowed from dnc's UI where it changed all card abilities into a major arcana card and whichever you picked would be in place of draw.

I think the thing i miss most abut the old system is this
-War-Balance,Spear,Arrow,Bole,Spire,Ewer
-Blm-Balance,Arrow,Spear,Bole,Ewer,Spire
-Nin-Balance,Spear,Bole,Spire,Arrow(aoe version ahead of spire but nin definetly didn't want single),Ewer

Different cards were more beneficial on certain jobs than others for more seasoned asts this was interesting to offset the simple dps rotation, the new system is more open to newer players as there is less to learn but it is too simple for my liking and there is no replacement amongst the healers either.

It also doesn't help that they decided rather than try to fix the old system(by bringing them in line/mitigating rng) they revamped it but gave it a whole new set of problems instead(undertuning/rng still a factor it is less severe but you still have at best a 32% to get 3 seal Divination ready by the 3rd draw with a redraw on the 2nd and 3rd draw/greater dependency on group matching ie at least 1 melee/1 range dps to be as effective as possible)
